That pretty much sums up how I feel about cooking. :)

Here are a couple of Halloween goodies than anyone (even me) can make
with a minimum of effort, and still get big rewards! Try 'em!

SPIDERWEB CUPCAKES

You know how to follow the recipe for cupcakes on the back of a cake mix box,
don't you? Make them extra special by using a tube of black cake-decorating gel
and some plastic spiders! Simply frost the cupcakes with either orange
or white frosting, then use the tube of gel to draw three circles on top.
Take a toothpick and drag the tip from the center of the cupcake outward
to the edge - a spiderweb magically appears! Top with a plastic spider,
and you're the "ghostess with the mostest" - the coolest
cupcakes on the block!



CRISP CANDY CORN TREATS

Ingredients:
  • ½ cup butter
  • 10 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 9 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 2 cup mixture of candy corn and Indian candy corn
  • ¾ cup miniature chocolate chips
  • candy pumpkins
  • orange food coloring
Directions:
  1. Melt butter and marshmallows; stir until smooth.
  2. In a large bowl, mix rice cereal, candy corn and miniature chocolate chips together.
  3. Add orange food coloring to marshmallow mixture, or squirt over cereal in bowl.
  4. Add marshmallow mixture to cereal mixture; stir quickly to combine.
    Spread on a large buttered jelly roll pan; press with buttered hands.
    While warm, press on candy pumpkins spaced 1 to 1/2-2 inches apart.
  5. Refrigerate and cut into squares.



WITCH'S BREW

Ingredients:
  • 3 pints (1.8L) purple grape juice
  • 1½ pints (900mL) club soda
  • 3 medium apples
  • grapes
Directions:
  1. Mix the grape juice and soda in a pitcher or punch bowl.
  2. Halve the grapes and remove their seeds. Cut the apple into small chunks.
    Float the fruit in the brew just before serving;
    by magic, the grapes and apples will look just like eyes and teeth.
